What began as a covert Temporal Cold War, waged among multiple time-traveling factions trying to shape history to their advantage, erupted into open warfare when the rogue Na’kuhl returned to the 29th century after altering Earth’s past, violating the Temporal Accords.
As factions struck at one another across centuries, they relied heavily on proxies and indirect manipulation. Agents like Daniels and powers such as the Sphere Builders, Future Guy, and the Krenim Imperium escalated the conflict through temporal incursions, genetic enhancements, and catastrophic weapons capable of erasing civilizations from existence.
Over time, paradoxes, timeline resets, and reality fractures multiplied, threatening the stability of spacetime itself. By the early 31st century, the damage had become catastrophic. Major powers finally renegotiated the Temporal Accords, banning time travel technology, creating the Temporal Agency, and mandating preservation of the Prime Timeline.
Although the war ended, its consequences were profound: overwritten histories, lost timelines, and persistent speculation that remnants of the conflict still echo through subspace and time.
